A quick moment for a couple of homos
Rarely do I ever get involved in the completely moronic circle jerks of blog communities. Sports bloggers people kinda know interviewing sports bloggers you kinda know but couldn’t care less about reading an interview with, circular blog feuds, people bitching about ideas being stolen, it’s all pretty worthless. But apparently, some blog that likes to send me tip emails called My Brain Says Rage wants to attempt to establish itself as edgy. That’s cool, everyone needs a niche.
Haven’t heard of My Brain Says Rage? Yeah, neither has anyone else. It gets 156 uniques/day. But don’t worry, you’re not missing much. It’s really just the inane ramblings of a sad couple of guys on a messageboard, brought into blog form. You know the guys if you’ve ever seen any messageboard. They’re “the enforcer” and they like to say really “edgy” things because, hey, that’s what edgy guys do. It’s adorably harmless and utterly worthless.
But point being, for some reason, these little scamps have a hard-on for yours truly. On Epic Carnival, I wrote a post about Poker sucking. It was a total throwaway done for no reason other than to post something for a site in need of content. Then they threw up a post they call “hilarious” in response to mine. In reality, the only thing hilarious about it was how they blatantly can’t understand irony and completely shut up after I made one comment back at them.
That’s edgy, right guys? Oh wait, no. That’s just being a pussy.
So obsess a little more, My Brain Says Rage. Keep posting to the two of you writing there and wallowing in the nothingness that you put up each day. But at least you can make all the wonderful rape “jokes” and baby killing “jokes” that garner all that attention for you. Just a helpful hint: a bit of subtly and actual humor make jokes go further than blandly stating the obvious. Maybe that’s just me.
Also, keep sending me links too. Link requests are EXTREME! Almost as tough as a red logo! Yowza I don’t know how I can stand you being so in my face.

I’m glad you don’t post this shit often, these kind of posts suck. Who cares about some dull site that no one reads trashing you? When you’re the bigger site, you just ignore it

….but Epic Carnival does suck. The obsessed site sucks too, but Epic Carnival is just awful.

Anonymous, you’re right. I just am not a big fan of faux toughness. Especially without the rationale or readership to justify it.
And Turk…I’m mum on that one. I like Scrap (the guy running it) a lot and find a good deal of the bloggers on there entertaining. I don’t know if it works though, for my tastes. It doesn’t cover everything like Fanhouse and doesn’t cover the small things with enough interesting consistency to differentiate. Then again, I’m not a big fan of 99% of the sports blogs right now (it’s all lists and “Best ___” lately), so I may not be the best judge.
